On Saturday, the U13 2011 Girls - Div.9 team kicked off their spring football league with a home match against Dunshaughlin Royal Gaels. The crowd in attendance at the Milltown fixture were treated to an exciting game of football. DonAsh took an early lead but Royal Gaels weren't shaken and at half time only a goal separated the sides. The second half was another hard fought 25mins of football, with great defensive work put in by both sides. The match could have gone either way, but ultimately ended as a draw.

With plenty to work on in training, the team look forward to next weekend when they are on the road to take on Duleek Bellewstown.
