The road works will continue for a number of weeks from the town up to the N2 roundabout so ongoing long delays are to be expected.

All club members take note of the notice of road closing for Northbound traffic close to the Pillo roundabout by the Applegreen garage from the 18th March until 2nd of April.

Mentors please contact any visiting teams and make them aware of this closure and to expect severe delays approaching and leaving the town during the road closure and whilst roadworks are ongoing.

South bound traffic from roundabout into the town should be ok, northbound traffic must make alternative arrangements.

Temporary Closure Of R135 Dublin Road, Ashbourne, Co. Meath

Meath County Council has made an order to temporarily close the north bound carriageway of the R135 Dublin Road, Ashbourne, Co. Meath, to facilitate the safe replacement of the existing trunk watermains on the R135 Dublin Road between Rath Roundabout and L1030 Ballymadun Road.

The road Closure will extend 400 meters on the north bound carriageway of the R135 from the junction with L1030 Ballymadun Road to the N2/M3 intersection at Rath Roundabout.

• The closure will be from 7.00a.m. on Wednesday, 18th March 2020 until 10.00p.m. on Thursday, 2nd April 2020.

Alternative Routes

Non Motorway Detour

• North bound traffic to take the Dublin Road (R135) south.
• Turn right onto R125 and continuing west to Ratoath. 
• Turn right onto the R155 via Curragha Village to the N2 (Primestown Junction)
• Turn right onto the N2,
• Travell south to Rath Roundabout at the R135/M2/N2 intersection.
• End Detour.

Motorway Detour

• North bound traffic to take the Dublin Road (R135) south.
• Turn right onto M2 at Nine Milestone Roundabout
• Continue north bound on the M2 to Rath Roundabout at the R135/M2/N2 intersection.
• End Detour.

The R135 will be open to south bound traffic for the duration of this lane closure.

Diversion and information signage will be in place for the duration of the temporary road closure. Access for residents and property holders will be facilitated throughout the closure period.
